Computer
ein Gerät, das von Programmen (Arbeitsanweisungen) gesteuert, elektronisch verschlüsselte digitale Daten manipulieren kann. Die Programme, die auf einem Computer ablaufen, bestimmen die Aufgaben, die mit diesem Computer gelöst werden können. Die Computerprogramme werden Software ("weiche Ware") genannt, während die elektronischen und mechanischen Bestandteile (Chips, Platinen, Laufwerke usw.) als Hardware ("harte Ware") bezeichnet werden.
